Physics/Optics Engineer

The ideal candidate will be an innovative and energetic Physics or Electrical Engineering major with RF/DC plasma coating technology experience that can develop and evaluate CVD and PECVD coating processes. Candidates for this R&D position will have a B.S. or M.S. in Physics or Electrical Engineering and must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing research environment. Knowledge or experience in IR optics and/or photonics is a plus.

Position responsibilities will include work on thin film nanocrystalline diamond projects from inception to completion, including but not limited to:

  • Developing coating technology and product concepts.
  • Characterization of thin film coating mechanical and optical properties.
  • Operation of laboratory and manufacturing systems.
  • Developing designs and prototype products to meet customer needs.
  • Candidate will also assist in transitioning prototype designs and processes from R&D to production scale.

Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, are required along with US citizenship. Salary is commensurate with experience complimented with a competitive benefits package.
